The Farm To Market Family

Bob was raised on a ranch in central Texas where he developed his passion for animal agriculture. Upon completing his BS Degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Bob worked for a large multinational company in the beef packing division. This production management experience allowed Bob to manage several aspects of the beef production environment, from ensuring the safe processing of beef to leading more than 120 employees. These experiences have given him a unique perspective on the entire scope of the beef industry. Bob engaged in several projects that would eventually lead him to realize he was born to start a family-owned business. Bob has been a guest speaker at the San Antonio International Farm and Ranch Show and several local organizations. Bob consults on Ranch Management on one-on-one basis as schedule allows. 

Laura has worked in the Human Resources field in the Beef and Beverage Industries. Together, with baby Gaby (who does her fair share of work), Laura and Bob work on reaching local families and nearby communities with Farm to Market Beef and Farm to Market Lamb high-quality products.

Our ground beef has been featured as a key ingredient to the 5th Best Hamburger in the state of Texas by the Texas Monthly Magazine in 2009. Farm to Market Beef was featured in Country World Magazine in 2010. We are a proud member of the "Go Texan" program that promotes Texas-raised and Texas-made products. We participate in local community events such as the Leon Valley Farmer's Market and the Festival of Flowers. Farm to Market Beef donates meat to local 4-H events and community Chambers of Commerce fundraisers. Our company was recently awarded the Young Farm-Rancher Grant by the Texas Agricultural Finance Authority. Farm to Market Beef was one of the 11th selected out of 150 plus applications for this grant.

Laura & Bob have completed the Humane Handling Certification and have met the esteemed animal handling expert Dr. Temple Grandin 

Farm to Market Beef was started by the noble idea of spending more time with our family while doing something we love and believe in: our passion for sustainable locally grown food and high quality beef.

  • Provide grass-fed ONLY beef. Our cattle are not fed grain or grain by-products, and it's raised following the guidelines of the American Grass Fed Association and USDA.
